Recent Projects

Coronet Peak Redevelopment
The new Coronet Peak Base building is an achievement on a huge scale for all those involved. We had just 4 months to complete this 8000 hour project. During this time the project and the environment threw up many different and exciting challenges.
The building has 3 levels, with the administration, restaurants and a huge deck on the thrid level. The second level has ticketing, rentals, tuning, the Snow Shop, day-lockers, as well as a staff area. Level 1 has has storage, rubbish collection, offices and boiler room.
We found it extremely satisfying to complete this project on time and to be a part of delivering a building that will take the ski industry in Queenstown into the future.

Queenstown Aquatic Centre
The Queenstown Aquatic centre is an architecturally designed aquatic centre, offering five pools and Hydroslide interlinking into the existing Events centre which had to remain operational during the building process of this major extension. The architectural nature of this building posed many challenges within this contract that were overcome by closely working with the Main Contractors on site . Aotea Electric Queenstown provided the electrical services for the Power, Lighting, Filtration and pumping and control wiring for the HVAC and Mechanical services. Total Value of this contract $900,000 including 3500 hours labour.

Residential Homes
Aotea Electric Queenstown are pleased to be involved in many residential houses, from the homes that can be completed in 30 hours to the houses that take over 6000 hours to complete, all of which offer many different and exciting challenges.

The Architectural house pictured here was a high end Residential home and was a complete design and build package. The Architect chose the light fittings and left us to install and design the rest. Working with the Architect, the builders and the client, Aotea Electric Queenstown was proud to be able to meet all their requirements and expectations.

This home offers the highest quality in finishing and technology. Blinds, windows, audio, gates, pool, security, lighting and heating can all be operated via the user friendly LCD Touch screens which constantly provide feedback for the owners. Aotea provided a complete package, designing the system to meet the client’s needs. In total this contract took just over 3500 hours and used over 28,000 metres of cable. The end result was very satisfying for all those who were involved and can always be gauged by a Happy Client.

What our Customers Say:

Re: Queenstown Courts Building
"This project was on a site with restricted access, a demanding time scale and required a high level of finish. Success would not have been possible without the commitment shown by all of your team."
Peter Lockhart, Operations Manager
Naylor Love Engineering

Re: Coronet Peak Redevelopment
"The Coronet Peak base building redevelopment was a very demanding and difficult project, we needed to surround ourselves with the very best subcontractors to be able to achieve the targets required.
The pro-active and co-opererative approach of Aotea was identified even at tender time and was fundamental to the success of the project. Quality, commitment, flexibility and on-time completion were of paramount importance to us, Aotea delivered above our expectations on all counts"
