Brendon Rae
General Manager

As General Manager of Aotea Electric Westland, Brendon is responsible for all operational aspects of the branches on the West Coast and is actively involved in the servicing side of the business. Brendon has over a dozen years' experience in management roles, most of that time in a very competitive corporate environment. Brendon's experience in the electrical industry totals over 20 years. He has a strong focus on customer service and providing a safe workplace for both his team and clients alike. Born and bred in the West Coast, means Brendon is highly aware of the logistical challenges faced at times up and down his region.

Glenn Davison
Contracts Manager

Glenn started his electrical career in 1984 as an apprentice with the North Canterbury Power Board. Since completing his apprenticeship he has held positions at Benmore Power Station as maintenance electrician, then W&W Electrical in Hanmer working mainly on commercial and domestic jobs. He ran his own business in Hanmer before relocating to Greymouth where he held industrial roles in the Gold and Coal Mining Industries. As Contracts Manager for Aotea Electric Westland, Glenn is very focused on providing an efficient and professional service to our existing and new clients.

Craig Mooney
Service Manager

Craig Mooney considers himself as a true “West Coaster” having been born, educated, married, bought up his 3 children & worked on the “Mighty West Coast” his entire short life. 

After qualifying and working as a Chef for 11 years he and his brother took over and ran the family building business. During those 19 years he was responsible for the Project Management, Marketing and Customer Service for what became a multi award winning franchise.

After getting out of the building trade while still on top of the game, Craig has joined the Team at Aotea Electric Westland as our new Service Manager. He has bought with him a refreshing vigour that is taking our Servicing division up to a new level by focusing on customer service, branding and the quality of the work conducted by his Team.

He looks forward to meeting & dealing with clients new and old as he is the first contact for those requiring our day to day electrical services.

Adrian Waters
South Westland Area Manager

Adrian has accumulated over 10 years of experience in the electrical industry since first starting an apprenticeship with Gordon Kelly Electrical in South Westland.

His experience is spread across the Domestic, Commercial and Dairy sectors and he enjoys the variety of work that is available in the area.

Adrian moved across to Aotea as a valued part of the Team when Gordon Kelly sold his business to Aotea Electric Westland in 2013.

He has since taken on the role of the Area Manager leading the current team of three Electricians that provide a great variety of solutions to their South Westland clients.


Terry Mclellan
Branch Manager

Terry Mclellan has over 30 years of electrical experience and has worked with a diverse range ofelectrical equipment over this period.

Starting out as an industrial electrician, Terry has worked extensively on Commercial and Domesticelectrical installations and equipment .He has also worked with Fire alarm systems, Security alarmsystems, Heatpumps, Satellite TV and CCTV.

Terry moved to Westport with his family in 2006 and has made the West Coast his home. In his spare time Terry is heavily involved in local Football (Soccer) at both Junior and senior level and is currently looking forward to assisting Buller High School with their Robotics club Since taking over as manager of Aotea Electric Westport, Terry and his team have serviced a large number of satisfied clients, in a range of Industries and as such is perfectly placed to assist you with your next electrical project.


Karen Haigh
Office Manager

Karen emigrated from Western Australia to NZ mid 2010 and after a stint at Citycare as a Credit Controller in Christchurch, joined Aotea Electric Westland in April 2013.

Karen’s career background was mainly corporate credit control, having worked for several steel/industrial companies in WA. Karen's role now sees her managing of all our administrative tasks and assisting with customer services.
